A Little Variety

7:45 pm Art

Some quick 20 minute painting studies from class today. Two more 20 min. studies from last week. All painting studies are done with acrylic paint on 11″ x 14″ canvas board. I also doodled in Philosophy of Religion (sketched my prof). The last doodle is of a great artist that spoke at my business lecture this afternoon. Her name is Barbara Klunder and she’s a Canadian artist currently residing in Toronto. She’s basically done it all - and she’s still inspired. Please take a look at her site.

my favourite drawing here is the last one… the girl with the boots on…you could make her a character in an on-going story of being you..at Sheridan.

Lovely as always. I really like the second of the blue series (the one painted in portrait). Something about it.

I also went over to Ms. Klunder’s site. The jazz posters are especially wonderful.

Hi Barbara - many thanks for taking time out of your schedule to visit my blog and for the compliments. Your lecture yesterday was encouraging and proved there’s still great art out there! Keep creating & inspiring…. =)

Thanks, Phil. I’ve never worked with a blue foundation; it proved to be interesting.
Barbara’s jazz posters are lovely, aren’t they? You should have seen them on the big screen!
