Animal Walk Cycle

3:09 pm Animation, Art

This is my first animal walk cycle and that’s evident.  We’re all our own worst critics when it comes to art and animation.  The front legs are rough and need work.  The front right leg doesn’t extend back far enough, giving a limp look to it.  The back right leg, when I first shot the animation, didn’t lift off the ground.  I really shouldn’t animate at three in the morning.  I went back and fixed up the leg, it looks a bit better.  If only I had more time, and didn’t have a migraine (that’s not an excuse, I swear!).  I really want to animate another greyhound as well as other animals this summer.  Keeping the front legs a third ahead of the back legs is challenging but fun.  Oh, just a quick side note - I shot this animation on two’s when I probably should have shot it on one’s.  I will post the one’s animation when I get time to shoot it again. Enjoy.

Thanks. The more I watch it, the more I hate it. There are so many mistakes. I want to start all over again.
